These Terms of Service govern your use of Marinette's products, including our Google Workspace™ add-ons (Invoice Manager for Sheets™, Expense Tracker for Sheets™, Receipt Organizer for Gmail™, Calendar Sync for Sheets™, Slot Booking for Forms™, and Review Requests for Small Business) and our downloadable spreadsheet and document templates and other digital products, offered for Google Sheets™, Google Docs™, Microsoft Excel®, and Microsoft Word® (collectively, "the products"), provided by Marinette ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing, copying, downloading, purchasing, or using any product, you agree to these terms.
Use of the products
Our products are provided for lawful business use. You agree to use them only for their intended purpose — managing invoices, tracking expenses, organizing receipts, keeping meeting records, and related business record-keeping in Google Sheets™, Google Docs™, Microsoft Excel®, or Microsoft Word®. You are responsible for all data you enter and all actions you take using the products.
Spreadsheet and document templates
Some Marinette products are downloadable spreadsheet templates, document templates, or other digital files, such as our Google Sheets™, Google Docs™, Microsoft Excel®, and Microsoft Word® templates sold through online marketplaces.
Licensing
When you purchase a template, you receive a single, non-exclusive license to make your own copy, or download your own file, and use it for your own personal or business record-keeping. You may not resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or publish a template or its contents, in whole or in part. The template and its design remain the intellectual property of Marinette.
Refund policy
Templates are delivered digitally, either as a link to make your own copy in your Google account or as a file you download; no physical item is shipped. Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once copied or downloaded, all sales are final and non-refundable except where required by law. If a template isn't working as described, please email us — we want you to be happy with your purchase.
Compatibility
A template is sold for the program named in its listing. Our Microsoft Excel® and Microsoft Word® templates are built and tested for current versions on Windows, Mac, and the web. We can't guarantee that every formula, format, or feature will behave the same way in older versions, on mobile, or in other programs such as Google Sheets™, Google Docs™, LibreOffice, Pages, or Numbers. The same is true in reverse: a Google Sheets™ or Google Docs™ template is built for that program, and converting it to another one may change how it looks or works.
By copying, downloading, or using any template, you agree to these Terms of Service.
The carpool board
The carpool board is a free tool for organizing rides among a group. It is different from our other products: a board is stored on our servers and shared by link, and anyone with the link can read and change it. By creating or using a board you agree that this is how it works. Keep boards to first names and short notes; do not put anything on a board that you would not put in the group chat itself, and do not use it to store sensitive personal information about anyone. Boards delete themselves 60 days after their last day, and we may remove any board at any time. The board helps a group see who is driving and who has a seat; the arrangements themselves, including who drives, who rides, and whether anyone shows up, are entirely between the people in the group, and we take no part in and no responsibility for them. Not tax advice
Expense Tracker for Sheets™, and any Marinette expense or tax spreadsheet template, is a tool for organizing and tracking expenses. It is not tax advice. Category descriptions, Schedule C line references, and deductibility percentages are provided for general reference only. Tax deductibility depends on your specific situation and tax laws change from year to year. Always consult a qualified tax professional before filing your taxes. Marinette is not responsible for any taxes owed, penalties, interest, audit findings, or any other outcomes of any kind resulting from use of this tool.
Review requests, done the right way
Review Requests for Small Business sends every client the same public review request on a fixed schedule, regardless of what they say in the private feedback step first. No part of the add-on lets a low private rating delay, cancel, or reroute the public request. This practice, sometimes called "review gating," is prohibited under Google's review policies and the FTC's Consumer Review Rule. You agree not to modify, work around, or use this add-on in any way to selectively ask only satisfied clients for public reviews. You remain solely responsible for complying with all review, advertising, and consumer-protection laws that apply to your business.
The add-on asks your clients for feedback and reviews; it cannot make them respond. We make no guarantee that any client will leave a review, that the reviews or ratings you receive will be positive, or that your rating on any platform will improve. What your clients say, privately or publicly, is entirely up to them.
Automated email
Some of our add-ons, including Review Requests for Small Business, send email to your clients or contacts from your own Google account, on schedules and triggers you configure. Like any software, they can malfunction. A defect, a Google service disruption, or unexpected data in your spreadsheet could cause an email to send late, send more than once, go to the wrong address, or not send at all. You are responsible for the accuracy of the client information you enter and for reviewing your settings before relying on the add-on with real clients. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marinette is not liable for any email the add-on sends, or fails to send, on your behalf, or for its consequences.
Your data
All data you enter into any Marinette add-on or Google Sheets™ or Google Docs™ template remains in your Google account. All data you enter into a Microsoft Excel® or Microsoft Word® template stays in that file, wherever you keep it. We do not access, store, or transmit your data to external servers. You retain full ownership and control of your data at all times. Each add-on has its own privacy policy describing exactly what it can and cannot see; see our Privacy Center for all of them.
No warranty
The add-ons and the templates are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use them at your own risk. Keep your own backups, and check your own totals before you rely on them for anything that matters. Where a feature uses AI to read a schedule, the events it extracts can contain mistakes; imported rows arrive as Pending so you can review them, and syncing them to your calendar is your action.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marinette shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of an add-on or a template, including but not limited to loss of data, lost revenue, missed deadlines, penalties, or business interruption. To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold Marinette harmless from any claim, lawsuit, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the products, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or regulation. That includes email and anti-spam laws, consumer review and advertising rules, and any privacy or contact laws that apply to the people you email or contact using our products.
Termination and revocation
If you violate these terms, for example by reselling, sharing, or redistributing a template, or by misusing an add-on, we may revoke your license, block your access, and end your use of the products immediately and without a refund. The parts of these terms that should outlast your use of the products stay in effect after it ends, including the license restrictions, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability, and indemnification.
Changes to the products
We may update, modify, or discontinue any product, add-on or template, at any time. For add-ons, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through the Google Workspace Marketplace listing.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of our products after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute relating to these terms or to a Marinette product will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small claims court.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed only to the smallest extent necessary, and the rest of these terms will remain in full force and effect.
